Hi, I’m Natalie!

My intention is to help you feel more connected, aligned, and invigorated, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually so that you have the bandwidth to live a life full of joy.

My journey to becoming a body-centered shadow coach and practitioner has been a long, winding process. I also didn't choose this career…it chose me. I spent years in therapy. It was helpful but I often felt that something was missing. My journey began in earnest in 1994 when I received my first massage to help me relax from stressful work with "at-risk" kids. I was surprised by how massage could do more than ease physical tension; it helped to lift my mood. Soon, I found myself in love with receiving massage because it was one of the few things that helped me cope with my chronic anxiety and depression. Massage became a permanent line item in my budget. I eventually understood that massage could be something great to offer parents to support them in being kinder to their kids so I decided to enroll in massage school in 1997. I had no idea how important that decision would turn out to be.

During massage school, I began to recognize the deeper connection between the mind, body, and emotions. I attended classes where my classmates and I would experience one emotion when touched in one area of our bodies and then experience a completely different emotion when another area of the body was touched. I also received counseling to address my anxiety and test-taking fears from Naropa University students who were completing their psychology graduate degrees. The work I did with a graduate student helped me to draw a closer line between my physical and emotional health. I was excited! Unfortunately, there was little information available at the time supporting the connection between physical and emotional well-being so, upon graduation, I put my interest in my “back pocket” and trusted that I’d be guided to the modalities that would turn out to be.

In the years following my graduation from massage school, I’ve created a bridge between physical and emotional healing. I took herb, aromatherapy, and medical intuition classes. I received certifications in Transformational Breath, Maya abdominal massage (including spiritual plant healing), Soul Motion Leadership, and Wilderness Walk Shadow Coaching. I’ve also continued to do my own work.

When I’m not at work, my interests and hobbies include reading, dancing, cooking, traveling, spending time in nature, attending classes and workshops, and connecting with friends.

My Why

“Life is juicy and amazing and mysterious! I want to experience it all and I want to help others to experience it too, as it shows up for them.”
— Natalie

I offer Maya abdominal massage

because few women are truly informed about why their menstrual cycles can be so painful, why they may struggle getting pregnant, why they have difficulty recovering from their pregnancies, and why their menopause symptoms can be so challenging.

They are also rarely told what they can do about their issues that don’t include drugs, devices, or surgery. I want to bridge the gap between women and Western healthcare that often keeps us uninformed about our true reproductive wellness.

We suffer unnecessarily from issues related our cycles that can be easily addressed without the need for sometimes invasive protocols that doctors prescribe. I suffered unnecessarily for many years until I started supporting my own health and seeing amazing results.

I want better for the women I serve; I want to teach you how to understand what’s happening in your body so you can be your own best advocate. The same is true for those who are experiencing digestive or back issues. If you can understand what is creating your digestive or back distress, the easier it can be for you address it.

I offer body-centered shadow coaching

because I believe that our emotional wellbeing can impact our physical wellbeing. I want to help people to honor the emotions they ignore or try to bury.

When they acknowledge their feelings, they can heal faster physically or avoid physical distress altogether. We spend decades in school to learn how to have a job. We spend money and time learning how to drive a car. We even take time to learn how to do extracurricular activities.

Interestingly, we spend very little time understanding what makes us tick, how to honor our needs, or how to cultivate relationships that support our growth. I want to do my part to help create a society that is loving, tolerant, and accepting of everyone. And doing so starts with me.

I offer conscious movement

because I believe that when we get comfortable dancing to the beat of our own drummer on the dance floor…dancing in our glory and through our discomfort and fear…the more comfortable we will be taking our dance out into our everyday lives.
